Daniel Thomas Bear Sr.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Poplar Cultural Center, Poplar, MT

Interment: Chelsea Cemetery west of Poplar, MT

Daniel Thomas Bear, Sr., age 45, of Wolf Point, MT, left us to be with Jesus, on Monday, September 8, 2008.

Dan was born in Los Angeles CA on February 8, 1963. His parents were Leonard Amos Bear, Sr., and Bertha Blue Stone Bear. Dan attended grade school in Bell Gardens, CA then moved after the death of his mother to Poplar, MT, where he attended high school. Dan worked at A&S Industries for a number of years. He attended Fort Peck Community College and graduated with his CDL and AAS in Mechanics. He worked on the rigs and drove trucks. He married Denise Welch and from this union they had three children: Daniel Thomas Bear, Jessica Elaine Bear and Tiffany Marie Bear. Daniel loved them dearly. They divorced. Dan met the love of his life, Georgia Wetsit, and they had a child, Shana Bear, whom he loved dearly.

Daniel loved all his nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Julio, Edward and John Bear.

He leaves behind his loving companion, Georgia; his children, Daniel Thomas Bear of Fort Stuart, GA, Jessica Elaine Bear and Tiffany Marie Bear of Poplar, MT, ShanaBear of Wolf Point, MT and three sisters, Bernadine (Arlie) Shields, Tanya (Abe) Fredricks and Debra Bear, all of Poplar, MT.

Dan, we will miss you so much, your joking, sense of humor and just talking to you. We love you and we will miss you dearly, especially your big sister, Bernadine and kids, your nieces and nephews, grandchildren and your special nephews, Leonard A. Hilliard and Karl Haugen, whom you loved dearly. He loves you.
