Interment: Calvary Cemetery Danny Phalen, age 51, of Miles City passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at his home in Miles City.
Dan was born April 1, 1954 in Miles City, MT, the son of Pat and Jean (Hickman) Phalen. Because Dan was born on April 1st it always made for many a good joke to be pulled on Dan. He grew up on the family ranch at Ismay, MT and attended the Trail Creek, River View and Custer County Schools. After his schooling, he worked on the John Scott ranch and various others ranches in eastern Montana breaking horses. Dan and Sandy Lahn were married on June 21, 1986 in Miles City. Danny and Sandy were blessed with two children; Shelby and Shilo. They resided on the family ranch until 2003 when they moved into Miles City. Dan had a love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, canning, and rodeos. He is known for his excellence in roping, dancing, and making people smile. He had a love for children and always took time to teach them how to rope and ride.
Dan is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Shelby; son Shilo all of Miles City, MT his parents Pat and Jean Phalen of Ismay, MT; his brothers: Larry (Sally) of Glendive, MT, Bob (Connie) of Lindsey, MT, Jim of Ismay, MT, Casey (Cindy) Phalen of Miles City, MT, his sister Barb (Keith) Hoover of Miles City, MT and many nieces and nephews.
