Maheo called home our beautiful Birney gal Darcy Jane in the early morning hours on March 29th 2022. That’s how Darcy planned…unexpectedly. Our Birney gal gained her wings knowing she was set free to fly high run wild with no more pain no more gain Darcy Jane your giggles and sense of humor(blondie girl) will be forever missed!
Darcy Jane was the youngest daughter and the 4 of 6 children born on May 13th 1985 to Ernest and Dolly LittleMouth Sr. in Crow Agency MT. Her Indian name pipe women “He’ooneva’e” named after her grandmother the late Bessi Elkshoulder. Darcy Jane was a true Birney Gal and was not ashamed of it, she made sure everyone knew where she was from. Darcy went to school at St. Labre elementary/JH in Ashland MT. As she got into Highschool she met her first love Corey Clubfoot where she became a young mother and from that union on they had 3 beautiful daughters and 1 handsome son whom she called her “My Only Sonny Boy” Darcy loved her children with all her heart, made she make sure they were well taken care of and that no one would mistreat them, as they were her world. As time went by Darcy decided to change up and live life to its fullest, she decided to go out and try to live life off the rez where she became a nanny and a housekeeper and come to find out she was making new friends along the way and let’s not mention she could be MIA (missing in action) or she be incognito for days even months. That was Darcy alright, always down to take on whatever life throws at you. Darcy lived a good life she would give you a lending hand or she be down to have your back but most of all she’d give you a good laugh with the blondie quotes that were just out of the ordinary making you laugh until tears come out. Darcy Jane was the youngest of 4 sisters leaving behind her only sister September in charge now to take care or check-up on our big beautiful blessed Birney family as we have many nieces, nephews and now grandchildren whom we love just like our own. Darcy had many friends whom she took like her sisters and bros. She had sister bonds with very special friends who kept her and helped her along the way while we knew Darc had stuggles but she never let them bring her down. Her special friend sisters are Josie Risingsun, Cristal Elkshoulder, Lucinda Yellowman and Micheala Beartusk. We would like to thank them for being there for Darcy Jane and appreciate you taking her in like your own family. Darcy had a unique bond with her children Alaina, Feather, Suntaya and Corey Jr a bond that held them together through prayer, hope and lots of love as she always wanted the BEST for them. We would like to give a Big Thank you to the RiverStone Health Hospice Home for all that they did for Darcy keeping her comfortable and allowing her family to visit and stay with her throught the 5 months she kept strong until her last breath with her loved ones by her side. Darcy believed in our traditional ways as well as going to church on Sundays and always had hope in the furture reminding us how to remain strong and to pray. Darcy Jane you were one of a kind, yet stubbron Birney gal try to be serious but when she let a giggle out it set off the joy of laughter, you could tell it was Darcy from far away as she had a vibe that was friendly and unique in her own way.
