Darlene Louise Campbell, 68, passed away March 18, 2007, at Billings Clinic, due to undetermined illness.
Darlene was born July 5, 1938, to Amy Redstone and Thomas Campbell in Poplar, Montana. She grew up and attended schools in Wolf Point and was raised by her grandparents, John and Jennette Adams.Darlene was a member of the United Dakota Presbyterian Church. She worked as a Headstart Cook, as a CNA for many years at Trinity Hospital, then as a CNA for IHS and Listrud Health Clinic, and back to Headstart as a Teachers Aid for the remainder of her life until her untimely death.Darlene enjoyed bingo, garage sales, reading, crossword puzzles, powwows, radios and her kids at Headstart.
Darlene is survived by her children, David (Leigh) Campbell of Wolf Point, Iris Oosh Campbell of Wolf Point, Stephen (Beth) Campbell of Ironton, Ohio, Jennifer Campbell of Wolf Point, two special grandchildren, Antoinette Campbell-Sansaver (whom she raised as a daughter) and Joe Wilson both of Wolf Point; April Allison Woodward of Libby, MT and Duane Love of Georgia; three sisters, Karen Babcock, Iris (Billy) Balbinot and Mavis Martell of Wolf Point; two brothers, Gary (Charlotte) Martell of Wolf Point and Wayne Martell of Poplar; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers Robert Hoenck and Ricky Lystad and nephew Tommy Babcock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point with the Reverend Dwight Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at King Memorial Cemetery in Wolf Point.
