With a twinkle in his eye and a story for every occasion, Darrell Bruce Risser gracefully departed this world on February 8th, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and laughter for generations to come.
Born on March 9th, 1948, Darrell embraced life with undeniable charm, defying convention from his mischievous youth to his sage later years. He remained unapologetically authentic to the very end.
A true maestro of life, Darrell had the gift of turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, infusing every moment with his wit and humor. His presence lit up any room, leaving smiles in its wake.
Darrell played many roles in life β a devoted friend, a loving husband and father, the best grandpa (and great-grandpa), and a cherished family member. His larger-than-life personality brought joy to all who knew him, leaving behind an irreplaceable void.
Though he has left this world, Darrell’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the laughter he shared. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the adventure, wisdom, and stories that defined his journey.
Darrell is survived by his brother, Donald Risser, and cherished sisters-in-law, Mae Risser and Shirley Risser. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary (Rasmussen), his adoring wife Valentina, his cherished daughter Mia Zuehlsdorff, his beloved son Glen Allan, and his brothers Harold, Clarence, and Charles.
A gathering to celebrate Darrell Risser’s life will be held on April 20th, 2024, at 11:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Colstrip, MT.
With a wink and a smile, rest easy, Grandpa, knowing that your sass and sparkle will forever light up our memories.

Darrell was a straight-shooter; you could always count on getting the unvarnished truth from him in somewhat colorful language at times! I admired that about him and always enjoyed our visits. He will be missed by many. Praying for your peace of heart.
