Daryl Newman, 76, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 12, 2017.
He was born in Hysham on December 10, 1940 to Alex and Edna (Broadbent) Newman. He was raised in a large family with ten brothers and sisters.
He married the love of his life, Kathleen Weinzetl on September 22, 1962. Together they had three children, Lyle, Kathy Ann and Randy.
Daryl did ranch work all over Montana until he settle down on the family ranch in 1967. He spent his lifetime working two ranches, roping in rodeos and raising horses. Daryl worked hard, was very devoted to his family and friends. He loved to see his children and always had a sparkle in his eyes when he saw his grandchildren.
Daryl was proceeded in death by his parents; Alex and Edna, brothers; Adrian, Bruce, and Burdette; sisters; Wilma, Shirley and Elva Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, sons; Lyle of Hysham and Randy (Melinda) Newman of Dillon, daughter; Kathy Ann (Joe) Holland of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren: Shayna, Daniel, Jaisa, Alex and Kelby; great granddaughter Josephine; brothers; Byron (Betty) Newman, Burton (Debbie) of Forsyth and Willard (LaVonne) Newman of Anaconda, sister; Lou (Jack) Shield of Dillon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Daryl will be missed dearly by all. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth with family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth.
