Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Anne Jensen (East Helena); children, David (Chris) Jensen (Helena) and Kathy (Tom) Budewitz (Townsend); brother, Carman (Louise) Jensen (Seiverville, TN); sister-in-law, Ruth Jensen (Puyallup, WA); grandchildren, Erica Jensen (Phoenix, AZ), Kyle Jensen (Bozeman), Hobbes his four legged grand-dog, Emily (Steve) Slipek (Phoenix, AZ), Tyler Budewitz(Abby Bliler) (Bozeman); great- grandchildren, Steven, Tori, Anthony and Tyler Slipek; numerous nieces , nephews and another great-grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Emma Jensen; a brother, Elwood Jensen, and a sister, Conra Jensen.
Dave was born inButte, Montana on November 25, 1926. He joined the US Navy in1944 and was honorably discharged in 1946. Dave married the love of his life, Mary Anne Frey on May 8, 1949. Dave taught his son David craftsmanship and the construction business. He took many field trips with his daughter Kathy. He also built his and Mary Anne's piece of heaven on earth, The Ranch. He had a long career in the construction business, being one of the first builders on 11th Avenue along with his partner in life Mary Anne. He taught his grandchildren how to appreciate nature, how to fish and drive. He had a love of tractors and passed that love on to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home.
