Interment: will follow at the EMB Cemetery in Lustre, MT
David A Wall, age 99, of Lustre, MT went to be with his Lord on Apri1 12, 2011 in Wolf Point, MT.
David was born June 11, 1911 to Aron J. Wall and Susanna (Becker) Wall in Mountain Lake Minnesota. He moved with his parents to the Lustre community in 1916 along with his brother Orlando and sister Katherina. Like many of his generation David never finished grade school. He loved the outdoors and working on the family farm.On April 8, 1936, David married Aganetha Unrau. The couple bought the John Olfert farm and there the couple continued farming until June of 2000 when they moved to the Faith Home apartments in Wolf Point due to Agnes's health. Farming was David's life and he strived to have good work ethics and be self-reliance. He was actively involved in the community and surrounding area; having served on several different boards through-out the years and served as treasurer for the E.M.B. church in Lustre, where he attended faithfully.
David loved people and enjoyed visiting, telling stories from the past with anyone willing tolisten. As he grew older, David lost most of his hearing. This hindered him from communicating with people and he no longer was able to enjoy a favorite past time, playing his electric Hawaiian guitar. One of David's passions was flying and in 1944 David bought his first plane, a 40 H.P. J-3 Cub. He owned several other planes and flew until 1981 when he sold his prized, P.A.12 Super Cruiser. He recorded giving over 3000 rides during his flying career, always promising to bring his passengers down .... one way or the other.Unable to have children of their own, David and Agnes adopted five children; Allen in 1944, Ronald, Nancy and Patricia in 1947 and Stephen in 1953. This completed their family, giving them grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many happy years of enjoyment. In February of 2003
David's beloved wife, Agnes passed away. This was a lonely time for David and he questioned why the Lord didn't take him home as well. But the Lord saw fit to let David live to the ripe old age of 99 years.
David is survived by his son, Allen ( Barb) Wall of Wolf Point; daughters, Nancy Speas of Gillette Wyoming, Pat (Vern) Wiens of Wolf Point; and daughter-in-law, Paulette Wall of Tahequah Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Laura Geortzen of Sakatoon, Canada and sister-in-law, Amanda Wall of Glasgow. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Agnes, his parents; two brothers, 0 J.
