Visitation: Sunday September 7, 2003 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming.

Funeral Services: Monday, September 8th, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming

Interment: Moorcroft Cemetery

David Zahn, age 53, of Moorcroft, Wyoming passed away on Thursday September 4th, 2003 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of an extended illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 8th, 2003 at the Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming with Pastor Donovan Voigt Officiating. Burial will follow at The Moorcroft Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday September 7th at the Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming.David was born on March 22nd, 1950 in Bottineau County to Marvin and Lois (Wiese) Zahn of Westhope, North Dakota. After David attended school in Westhope, North Dakota and graduated in 1969 he attended 1 year of Auto Body in Whapaton, North Dakota.In 1970 David married Karen Hummel of Westhope, North Dakota and had 2 children, Kristina and Gregory Zahn. In 1976 they moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming. David worked several years in the oilfield as a roughneck, driller and tool pusher. In 1989, David went to work for Black Thunder Coal Mine as a member of the drill and blast crew where he remained employed until now. David enjoyed time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. David also enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with his dogs, spending lots of time outdoors working on his yard, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and four wheelers. David is loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife Karen of Moorcroft, Wyoming, his daughter Kristina, and his 2 grandsons Kenny and Tyrell of Gillette, Wyoming, his son Gregory and his fianc Lacy Raben of Moorcroft, Wyoming, his mother Lois Zahn of Westhope, North Dakota, his 3 brothers Butch and his wife Bev of Williston, North Dakota , Larry and his wife LeRiesa of Culbertson, Montana, Gary and his wife Connie of Westhope, North Dakota, his 3 sisters Ilene of Billings, Montana, Cheryl of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Shirley and her husband Blaine Oyen of Williston, North Dakota, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Zahn is preceded in death by his father, Marvin and 2 brothers Richard and Duane Zahn.

A memorial has been established in David Zahns name to benefit the Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, Wyoming.
