Dawn Haugen Eagle

Prayer Service: will begin 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center

Funeral Service: will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at the Poplar Cultural Center

Interment: will follow at Chelsea Cemetery

Dawn Alexis Delaine Haugen-Eagle, age 29, of Poplar, MT went to be with the Lord on Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.

Dawn was born August 15, 1979 to Don Karl LaRoque-Haugen and Bernadine Bear-Shields in Poplar. She grew up and attended schools in Poplar and Wolf Point.

Dawn loved to be with her niece, Honey, and nephews. Dawn was also a boxer. She had a beautiful sense of humor and loved to be with her family and friends. She had a special friendship with her sisters and brothers, Karl D. and Hunter. Dawn loved Christian music and hearing about Jesus. She dreamed about Heaven. I know she went to heaven. I will miss my daughters beautiful green eyes. She will be missed deeply by her family.

Dawn is survived by her parents Bernadine (Arlie) Shields and Don Karl LaRoque-Haugen all of Poplar; her four children, Michael James and Gabriel Alexander Ornales, both of Wolf Point, Julio Edward Bear of Malta, MT, and Jonathan Lynn Todd Eagle of Sacramento, CA; siblings Cynthia (Bobby D.) Haugen of Wolf Point, Jennifer (Robert) Montclair of Poplar, Karl (Sara) Haugen of Hardin, MT, Debra Shields of Dublin, CA, Antoinette Shields of Poplar, Hunter Dean Shields of Poplar, David, Rodney and Travis Tuttle all of Poplar, Deanna LaRoque of CA, Theresa LaRoque of Poplar, Stoneboy LaRoque of Denver, CO, Stone Cutter, Ethen, and Jacinda and Antonia LaRoque all of Poplar; grandmothers Roberta Garfield and Nancy Foote both of Poplar and Iva Dean-Bear of New Town, ND; grandfather Wilfred Max Bear of Wolf Point.

Dawn is preceded in death by her grandmother Maxine "Tiny" Vantine, maternal grandparents Leonard and Bertha Bear, uncles Leonard Amos Bear, Jr., Edward Dale Bear, Everette Wayne Bear and Daniel Thomas Bear, and nephew CeJay Montclair.

Prayer Service will begin 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Chelsea Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family at csmc@nemontel.net or www.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point has been entrusted with the Arrangement.
