Deana Spotted Eagle also known as Gudzit, Cheyenne name Taaxemeoo’e Wallowing Woman named after her aunt Rosella Pongah. She was called home to Maheo on May 1, 2019 with her family by her side. Taaxemeoo’e was fluent in the Cheyenne language and culture. Gudzit was born on October 8, 1983 in Crow Agency to Dean Douglas Spotted Eagle and Magdalene Walknice. Deanna attend school in Lame Deer, Busby, and Flandreau Indian School. She also, attend job corps at Kicking Horse, Chief Dull Knife College and obtained her CDL Class A Heavy Equipment. She worked as in Wild land firefighting, Tree Planter and inspector. Taaxemeoo’e enjoyed cooking, driving around, she loved digging for wild turnips and other plants. She was gifted with plants such as planting vegetables and flowers. She also enjoyed jingle dress dancing, beading, and sewing. She really loved horseback riding. Gudzit was proceeded in death by her mother Magdalene Walksnice and her father Douglas Spotted Eagle. Grandparents Josephine clubfoot and Leroy Pine, and Daniel Magpie and Grace Divesbackwards. She was adopted by Edwin and Karen BigLefthand. Sister Annabelle Spotted Eagle. Grandkids Phoenix Lone Bear and Titan Two Two close friend Nancy Jean Washington. She is survived by her companion Anthony Running Wolf. Siblings Diana Big Hawk, Kristina Redbird, Dean (Lacey) Spotted Eagle Jr. Bullet Shangreaux, Leroy Brady jr. Chandra Spotted Elk Children; Luke White Buffalo, Bruce White Buffalo, Edie Whitedirt. Niece and Nephews; Dean Spotted Eagle III, Kya & Kyla Spotted Eagle, Jayden Longee, Risingsun Spotted Eagle, Cissy Spotted Eagle, Sky Jackson. Stepmothers Donna Spotted Eagle and Nikki Lippert. In laws Mike and Florence Running Wolf. Aunts and Uncles; Rosella (James) Mann, Sam Divesbackwards. Phillip Bighawk and George Magpie, Karen Walksnice, Mildred Redcherries, Stella and Pauline Killsontop and Darrell Bixby. Cousins; Darren, Dwayne, Richard, Douglas, EJ Pongah, Kristin Pongah, Nancy and Robert Bighawk. Arlena, Donna, Andrew, and Sam III, Cheyenne, Isiah, Sammie Rose, Viola & Alvin Biglefthand. Darrell and James Fisher. Taaxemeoo’e was known to all her close friends as Gudzit (girlfriend/sister in the Cheyenne language) and she held true to her name. She has many close friends Holly Fisher, Lisa Limpy, Carla Johnson, June Limberhand, Floyd Clubfoot, Mary Bearquiver, Jewel Roundstone, Johnny Rae Rowland, Angie Gardner, Tsista Redcherries, Payne Yellowrobe, Thomas Shoulderblade. Larissa Killsnight and Destiny Tallwhiteman. And many many more. Gudzit’s extended families are; Bigbacks, Blackwolfs, Shoulderblade, Sioux, Bearchum, Big Hawks, Pine, Killsontops, Killsback, Walksnice, Clubfoot, Adams, Wolfchum, Little Whirlwind, Kingfisher, Red Cherries, Roundstone, Ryan, Medicine Bull, Bixby, Eagle Feathers, and Antelope.
