Deanna Lynn Whitecrane, Ma’eseeota’e (Red Medicine Woman)
Passed away surrounded by Family in Billings, MT on September 12th 2022
Deanna was born on May 23rd 1985 in Billings MT to Winslow and Charlotte (Tallbull) WhiteCrane.
Deanna grew up in Ashland with her parents, she was baptized into the LDS church when she was 8 years old. She attended schools at St. Labre, Billings and graduated from Lame Deer High School. She went to MSU in Bozeman for a short period of time.
She met the love of her life while she was attending MSU in Bozeman, Abbram Walksnice.
They had a daughter, Abbree Anna, and their family was complete. Deanna was devoted to her family and teaching her daughter Native Traditions.
Deanna was an outdoors person, she loved fishing and camping. She enjoyed traditional life, pow wows and sharing this life with her daughter. Deanna was always up for an adventure. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed taking care of other people. She loved travelling and visiting people. Her laugh was contagious and she could light up any room.
Deanna had a special bond with all her cousins, nieces and nephews, she made time for them and enjoyed these relationships, many of her family will always remember the times they shared with Deanna, camping trips, Billings fairs, laughing and joking with each other, late night video games, exploring different places on the rez, the pow-wows around the rez, swimming in the Tongue River, or just being in one’s company. To all her cousins she was a sister.
Proceeded in death by her father Winslow Whitecrane, Paternal Grandparents Jasper Whitecrane and Edna Seminole, Maternal Grandparents Charles and Ella (Walkslast) Tallbull, Uncles: Charles Tallbull Jr, Ronald, and Philip Brien. She is survived by her Husband Abbram Walksnice, her daughter Abbree, Mother Charlotte Blackwolf, Brother Isaiah Whitecrane, Sisters Angela Widdicombe; Children Donny, Nick and Mariah. Phylliss (Dyron) Shoulderblade; Children Johnathan, Lilliana (her name sake), Currie, and I’Lee Shoulderblade and Robyn (Ulises) Ruiz; children: Reyna, Ulises Jr., Roberto, Robyn Marie and Ramses.
