Debbie Pawlowskii

December 3, 1949 – February 5, 2012

Deborah Marie Liebelt Pawlowski, age 62, of Miles City passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Holy Rosary Hospice after a battle with cancer.

Debbie was born on December 3, 1949 in Sidney, Montana to Elmer and Betty Liebelt. She grew up at Savage, Montana and Flowing Wells in Garfield County. She attended a one room school house, Flowing Wells Elementary, for eight years. She graduated from Garfield County High School in 1969. Following graduation, she moved to Great Falls, Montana to attend college. On July 8, 1970, her son Ajay was born. She moved back to Jordan in 1970 to work at the Garfield County Bank. In 1974 she moved to Miles City to work at the Unified School District Administration Office where she retired as the Clerk of Schools. Following retirement she worked at Stallards and Associates; up to the time she was diagnosed with cancer. On September 19, 1998 Debbie married the love of her life, Donald Pawlowski. They had 13 wonderful years together.

Debbie´s hobbies included drawing, painting, wood working, remodeling antiques and redecorating their home.

Debbie is survived by her husband Donald Pawlowski of Miles City, MT; her son, Ajay (Sally) Liebelt of Perry, IA; her parents, Elmer and Betty Liebelt of Miles City, MT; her granddaughters, Ashlie and Brittany and step granddaughters, Brooke and Kendra; her brother, Bryan (Sheila Cramer) Liebelt of Salt Lake City, UT; her sisters: Audrey Bruckner of Miles City, MT; Mary (David) Denowh of Rockford, IL; nieces and nephews: Holly (Shane) Harbaugh, Lee (Charlotte) Billing, Scott (Rebekah) Denowh, Joe Denowh, Matthew Liebelt; great nieces and nephews: Chantel (Bill) Brooks, Skylar (Heidi Finke) Harbaugh, Jakob Denowh and Madelyn Denowh; great great niece and nephews: Edward Brooks, Shayna Brooks and Jaxson Harbaugh; her mother-in-law, Edith Pawlowski; sister-in-law, Janice (Richard) Kepner; stepdaughter, Charity Ramsey; stepsons: Shane (Linsey) Musser, Jeremy Musser, Harley (Jillian) Pawlowski; step grandkids: Storey Pawlowski, Ritter Pawlowski, Channing Ramsey, Avalon Ramsey and Macenzie Marx. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Gloria Billing, brothers-in-law, Randy Billing and Joe Bruckner; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Deborah has many lifelong friends that she cherished. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank the nurses at the Cancer Center at the Billings Clinic, Holy Rosary Hospital and Hospice. A special thank you to the Nurse in White.

Services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's´ choice.

    Don & family-I’m so sorry to hear about Deb. I worked with her at Stallard’s for years and always enjoyed her company. The last time we were “sent” to the basement to clean out files we really became friends, she will be missed.

    Donald, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Debbie. She was one special lady and such a wonderful person. I was blessed to have known her. Tonight as I was sitting here thinking about her, I remember the many laughs that we shared and yes even some tears. That smile of hers that you could see from across a room. Cherish the memories.     Don, Vic and I are so sorry for your loss. Debbie was a great person and used to visit with me at the Silver Star 🙂 I remember us going to your wedding and though we haven’t seen much of each other in recent years..our hearts go out to you and your family. She was such a warm person and I’m sure she’s being well looked after now 🙂

    Don, Audrey and family-
    I worked with Debbie for 20 plus years. I will forever remember the wonderful lady that she was. I will cherish the picture that she painted of my son and surprised me with it one Christmas….She was so giving and caring. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
