On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Debbie Stocker took her first unlabored breath in heaven. Debbie was born in Jordan, MT on December 13, 1954, to Ray and Jessie Shawver of Jordan.
Debbie graduated high school from Jordan on May 21, 1978.
On August 17, 1977, Debbie married Duane Marsh. They welcomed Wendy Bell on April 22, 1978, in Wyoming and Stormy Gale on November 13, 1979, in Oklahoma. The two later divorced on January 25, 1982.
Debbie and the girls returned to Jordan after the divorce, after several years Debbie met the one she’d spend the rest of her life with, Mike Stocker. The two were married on June 18, 1989. They made Miles City their home. On January 20, 1992, their surprise baby Starly Stocker (Agnew) was born. Debbie graduated from Miles Community College in May of 1995 and went on to the University of Great Falls in May of 2000 with her Bachelor of Science in Human Services. Debbie also ran a daycare for many years where she gained many honorary grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grown until moving to Salmon, Idaho in 2010. Debbie and Mike moved back to Miles City in 2015.
Debbie enjoyed many things such as hunting, fishing, horses, and gardening. The yard was always filled with flowers and ornaments. Her favorite flowers being moss roses, bleeding hearts, holly hocks, and morning glories. She loved to spend her time on the boat with Mike trolling for Northern and Walleye. You’d never catch her without her trusted Zebco reel and some hot pink spin blades. Some of Debbie’s greatest joys were her grandchildren Alex, Courtney, Gunnar, Sophie, Zoey, Derek, and Laken. She was also looking forward to the arrival of her new grandson and granddaughter that are expected in November. Debbie was always so proud of each of her grandchildren.
Debbie is survived by her husband Mike Stocker, daughters Wendy (Jesse) Knittel, Stormy Marsh, Starly (Cory) Agnew. Her grandchildren Alex Marsh, Courtney Knittel, Gunnar Knittel, Sophie Knittel, Derek Foster, Laken Agnew, and Douglas and Bailey Richey. Her brother Phil Shawver and sisters Pat Lamoure, Cher Hafla, and Jean Bryan. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and other members of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jessie Shawver, father-in-law Hank Stocker, mother-in-law Bobby Stocker and Betty Cole, her brother Jack Shawver, sister-in-law Karla Murphy, step daughter Shannon Richey and her granddaughter Zoey Foster.
No Funeral Services are planned at this time.
