Deborah Gay Cline (Van Berkom), 59, left us on May 7, 2015, after a courageous twelve-year battle with cancer.
Debi was born July 10, 1955, in Conrad, MT, to Donald and Rachel Van Berkom. She lived most of her life in central Montana. She was blessed with two boys, Shane (Karyn) Wells and Andrew (Jaylene) Udelhoven, and eight grandchildren.
On January 3, 2003, she married the love of her life, Ron, in Laughlin, NV. Through this marriage she gained two daughters, Dee Ann (John) Lord and Amy (Chris) Tolzien, and five grandchildren.
Debi accompanied Ron as he traveled Montana and Wyoming working for Century Construction. They enjoyed traveling south during the winter. When Debi was no longer able to travel, their winters were spent in Ekalaka with friends and family. Special memories include time spent at the Church of Hank Williams.
Debi’s cancer returned in the spring of 2013. Against all odds, she miraculously stayed with us for another two years.
Debi is survived by her husband, Ron; mother, Rachel Van Berkom; sisters Iris (Floyd) Scott and Sandra (Dennis) Hogstad along with nephews and nieces, Julie Nowacki, Michael Scott, Ray Vincent, and Shannon Vincent. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Van Berkom and her sister Jackie Van Berkom.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Jack’s Hangar, 626 Airport Road in Lewistown, MT, and another celebration to follow in Ekalaka, MT, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Emily Czech says
I am so very sorry for your loss! Losing somebody in death is one of the most devastating experiences someone can face in life. I hope you find comfort from the words found at John 5:28,29 which says “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life.” God gives us the beautiful promise that one day He will resurrect our loved ones to a paradise earth for us to see again.
