Debra DeeSiegle, age 52, of Miles City, MT died Saturday, March 24, at the Horizon Hospice House in Billings after a two and one-half year battle with cancer.
Debra Dee Siegle was born February 8, 1955, in Miles City to Albert John Siegle and Lorraine Helen (Jone's) Siegle. She was baptized at the Community Presbyterian Church in February of 1955 and was confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church on April 27, 1969. She attended elementary school in Terry and graduated from Terry High School in 1973. She started working at Reynolds Market in Terry during high school and continued to work there for several years. She graduated from Dawson Community College in 1977 with an associates degree in mid management. Upon graduation from DCC she received a scholarship to attend Eastern Montana College. She graduated from EMC with honors in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. While attending EMC, she sewed and designed theater costumes. Following graduation from EMC, she began work at Rowland, Thomas and Company in Miles City. She continued to work there as an accountant until her death. She was a member of the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Debbie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. She served as Sunday School Superintendent for over two decades. She was also a member of the Miles City CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocate Guardian Ad Litum) Board and was one of the last presidents of the Miles City chapter of the Business and Professional Women. Debbie enjoyed gardening and flowers, garage sales, and collecting antiques. She liked to travel. She toured Beijing, China and the Great Wall in 1998 and drove throughout Switzerland and Germany in 2002 and 2003. She was also well known for the wide variety of homemade candy plates she gave away during the holidays.
Following her cancer diagnosis, she spent two autumns in Connecticut receiving cancer treatment. She was known for her caring spirit and gentle heart. Her concern for others overshadowed her concern for herself.
Debbie is survived by her brother, DelSiegle and his wife Betsy McCoach of Mansfield, CT.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1990 and her father in 2006.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, MT. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City, MT. Interment will follow at the Marsh Cemetery at 2:30p.m. at Marsh, MT.
