Debra Drummond-Poucher, age 50, of Miles City passed away on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Holy Rosary Health Center after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Debra was born in Oxnard, California on July 1, 1955, the daughter of William and Terri (Lauretson) Drummond. She grew up in Santa Rosa Valley, California and attended school there. While attending LaReina High School in Thousands Oaks, California, she was actively involved in many extracurricular activities including reigning as the student body president. She also met Gregory Poucher while attending school there. After graduating high school, she went to Moorpark Junior College where she received a degree in early childhood education. She married Gregory Poucher on December 20, 1975 in Camarillo, California. They made their home in Camarillo, where they also started their family. Deb began working as the director of Green Valley Preschool in Simi-Valley. She also displayed her love and talent for sewing through numerous craft shows she participated in with her very own company, Mother Goose Enterprises. In 1993, they left California and moved to Montana. A few years later they settled in Terry, Montana, where they have remained since. Deb enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and was an excellent seamstress. She was generous with her time and took every opportunity she could to teach her skills to family members and the children in 4-H. She absolutely loved gardening and spent much of her time arranging and taking care of the flowers in her gardens. She appreciated the beauty and openness of Montana, thus she spent much of her time outdoors gardening and caring for her animals, especially her chickens. She was also involved in numerous quilting groups. Deb was a dedicated wife and mother and loved to follow her three sons in their sports activities and 4-H events.

Deb is survived by her husband Gregory of Terry, MT; three sons: Jeff Poucher of Camarillo, CA; Chris Poucher of Tampa, FL; and Mike Poucher of Terry, MT; a brother, William Bill Drummond of Camarillo, CA; a sister, Denise Roseman of Los Banos, CA; a grandson, Ryan Poucher; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at Grace Bible Church in Miles City at 10:00 am. A luncheon will follow the funeral at Grace Bible Church. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Prairie County Cemetery in Terry. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Prairie County 4-H Council, P.O. Box 7, Terry, MT 59349.
