Delbert Eugene Bosckis, age 89, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on January 7, 2026, at Holy Rosary Residential Living, under the compassionate care of residential and hospice staff.
Delbert was born on December 27, 1936, in Hamilton, Montana, to Bert and Ella (Newell) Bosckis. He spent his younger years on a farm north of Stevensville, Montana, where Kootenai Creek Canyon and the Bitterroot Mountains served as his backyard playground and shaped his lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
He attended high school in Stevensville and later Prairie Bible Institute in Canada. On May 7, 1960, Delbert married Marian Brockway. Following their marriage, they moved to Miles City, Montana, where they began their family. Two children were born to this union: Roberta (Bobbi) and Byron.
Delbert and Marian devoted many years to missionary work, serving rural communities throughout southeastern Montana until 1984. That year, they began a new chapter by moving to Sacramento, California, where they worked as apartment managers until they retired in 2010. After retiring, they moved to Polson, Montana, to care for Delbert’s older brother until his passing. They later returned to Miles City to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Delbert is survived by his son, Byron (Denise), and his grandchildren, Brooks and Fallon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Ella; his brother, Richard; his daughter, Roberta; and his beloved wife, Marian.
Delbert will be remembered for his faith, dedication to service, love of family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.

To Byron and family: I’m sorry for your loss. Back in the late 60s and early 70s, your parents came out to our community near Volborg to hold Bible studies. I would take all the children to do our own Bible story and sing-along. Later, when I was in college, your parents trained me and I did summer VBS sessions in rural communities near Miles City. I knew your dad to be a kind and godly man. I’m sorry for your loss.
Mrs Mott says
Brooks and Fallon, so sorry to hear about your grandfather’s passing. Hope, in time, your grief passes and only the good memories remain.

Two verses come to mind when I think about Delbert and his unwavering faith in the Lord.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
His lord said unto him, “Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
My condolences to his family.

My condolences to you, Denise, and all family. Delbert was one of my favorite stops on the Meals on Wheels route. He was so proud of his lovely flowers in the spring and rightfully so! They were beautiful! We had lovely visits!
Emma (Loomis) Higgins says
Thinking of all of Delbert’s family and friends. I fondly remember him from my childhood days. It isn’t super clear as to when we met but I know we were introduced by my grandparents Edgar and Margaret Loomis from Brusett. I remember the beautiful White House that looked like it was out of a fairly tail with the beautiful flowers out front. Delbert was a kind man who loves our Lord and Savior with all of his soul. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Our condolences to the family. I remember that they held church services in the Spring Creek community, when I was small. I delivered meals on wheels to his home a couple of years ago and had a nice chat with him. He was a wonderful person and loved the Lord.
