In Memory Of

Delno Pawlowski, age 86, of Circle.

September 4, 1934 – June 27, 2021

Just before midnight, June 27th, 2021, Delno Henry Pawlowski peacefully passed away at the St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT.  Delno was 86 years old. The last person to say goodbye to him was his grandson Chel Idland, “Goodbye Pa, I will miss you”, Chel said and Delno nodded.

Delno Pawlowski was born in Circle, MT on September 4th, 1934 with his twin brother Delbert. An unbelievable fact is that he and Delbert each weighed over 9 lbs.  He was the 4th child out of 7 children, born to Henry and Esther (Schoeder) Pawlowski.

Delno loved living in the country and all the great things that went with it. His father, Henry Pawlowski, passed away in a plane crash when flying with Delno’s uncle. Delno was only 13 years old. A neighbor, Havard Sell, graciously stepped in to help with the farming, animal chores, and he even helped with the 7 children.

Upon graduating from Circle High School, Delno enlisted in the army. He was stationed in Guam for nearly 2 years as a CPR Corporal (Portsman/engineer). When Delno’s 2 years of service was up, his supervisor wanted him to stay on, but Delno wanted to go home to the farm.

Delno married Agnes Sowle on June 3, 1961. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2021. Before they were married, Agnes told her friends and sisters, “I am never going to marry a redhead or a farmer”.  Well, they spent many wonderful year on the farm as man and wife.

Delno and Agnes have 2 children, a son Ryan Scott and daughter Ronda Faye. Delno and Agnes retired and moved to Circle while Ryan (Ida) continued to farm the home place.  Ronda (Kenny Idland) has taught in the Circle Public Schools for 25 years and lives on a ranch with her husband.

After retiring from farming, Delno worked for Rolandson Implement in Circle for several years. Delno also liked to help people with various projects.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, (giving cucumbers to the neighbors), leatherwork, and reading. Most of all, he loved his family and the farm!

Delno is preceded in death by his brothers Delbert and Marvin Pawlowski; his sisters Marg Schriver and Lois Tew and his parents Henry and Esther Pawlowski. Survivors include wife Agnes Pawlowski; children Ryan (Ida) Pawlowski, Ronda (Kenny) Idland; grandchildren Lee (Hayley), David (Ashley), Michael (Brette) Pawlowski, Chel, Chase, and Jackcee Idland; great grandchildren Benson, Levi, Dane, Juniper, and Quinley Pawlowski.

All of Delno Pawlowski’s family would like to sincerely thank everyone for coming and honoring his life.

Family will be receiving friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday July 5th, 2021 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Circle. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 6th at 11:00 AM at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Circle.  Condolences can be made to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com.

My love and prayers to you all.
Delno was a very kind man. I enjoyed visiting with him over the years. I would see him every now and then, I enjoyed his sense of humor.
He made the Bible studies we were in so interesting because of his knowledge of the Bible.
May you all find peace knowing he is with Jesus
