On Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Delores Marie (Fourstar) McConnell was called home to be with our Heavenly Father. Delores passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born January 21, 1940 in Poplar, MT to Leslie Fourstar and Freda Redstone. She married Joseph McConnell in September 1973. Delores loved to cook, sew, quilt, and work in her garden. She was happiest while watching her children grow and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to read the Bible and had many favorite Bible scriptures as well as listening to gospel music. She enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends around her. Her father Leslie Fourstar, her son Wayne Bad Hawk, her three brothers Phillip Fourstar, Leslie
Sonny Fourstar, and Tony Fourstar, preceded her in death.
Delores is survived by her husband, Joseph McConnell of 33 years, her only daughter, Connie (Casey) Kawasaki of Frazer, her three sons, Darrin (Margaret) Bad Hawk of Wolf Point, Greg (Denni) Bad Hawk of Poplar, and Michael (Trisha) Bad Hawk of Wolf Point. She is also survived by her mother Freda Redstone Fourstar of Frazer; brothers Victor Fourstar Sr. of Frazer, Vernon Fourstar Sr. of Spokane, WA, Carl Fourstar Sr. of Wolf Point, Adrian Fourstar Sr. of Poplar; her sisters Florence Fourstar of Wolf Point, Phyllis Johnston of Spokane WA, Lana Fourstar Jackson of Frazer, Patricia Pipe of Poplar, Josephine Tapaha of Wolf Point, Madonna McConnell of Wolf Point, Geraldine Buck Elk of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by her adopted sisters and brothers: Dorothy and Harold Mathews of Apple Valley, CA, Rita Talks Different of Frazer, Reba and Ray Ogle of Poplar, Helen Ricker of Poplar, Maynard Hawk, Lonnie Iron Bear of Poplar, and Ray Nolan of Billings, a special cousin Julia Archdale, twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A wake will be held at the Frazer Community Hall Thursday evening, August 7, with services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Frazer High School Gymnasium at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2003 with Pastor Patti Lambert officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A feast will immediately follow at the Frazer Community Hall. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
