Dear Debbie,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Dennis’s passing. He was more than just an Army buddy; he was like a brother to me. We shared so many moments together as room mates at Ft. Carson, Colorado and visited each other while stationed in Germany, always watching each other’s backs and forging a bond that few understand.
We were kids then, thinking we were men.
Dennis was a remarkable man—brave, loyal, and kind-hearted. His friendship meant the world to me, and I can only imagine the immense loss you are feeling. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
We drifted apart, and went our ways.
Dennis will always hold a special place in my heart, and his memory will live on through the stories and moments we shared.
With heartfelt condolences,
David Abney

Sympathies to the Thompson family. This was sad news to hear. I was a classmate to both Dennis and David thru all 12 school years in Miles City. Fond memories of those times growing up. We are too young to lose another classmate. 😔
My sympathies.
