Doline Moos Fritz, age 76 of Circle, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, August 18, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Montana.
Doline was born November 19, 1942 to Edwin and Ida (Naasz) Moos in Glendive. She was the eldest of four children. The family lived in Terry, where Doline attended some elementary school until they moved to the farm 10 miles west of Circle on Horsecreek Road. She attended country school before graduating from Circle High School. Doline was one smart cookie as she graduated at the age of 16 in the class of 1959.
Doline married Earl Fritz on April 8, 1961. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Oregon where Earl worked in the lumber industry and began raising their two sons, Rick and Mike. The call of home grew strong, so in 1977 Doline and Earl took the opportunity to purchase Doline’s grandparents’ farm in the Brockway community where they continued raising their sons and began raising sheep and wheat as well. The farming adventure continued until the desire to travel hit. Together, Doline and Earl attended many NFRs, toured Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, New York, New England, Niagara Falls, the southwestern U.S., and there was even a trip to England and Wales with Doline’s brother Don and his wife Nancy.
Doline was an avid card player, seldom missing the chance to play pinochle and whist at the Senior Center as well as whist in Brockway. She passed her love of card games down to her sons and grandchildren. Many late nights were spent with them around the table playing many different card games. Doline’s grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Doline is survived by her sons, Rick (Becky) Fritz and Mike (Lisa) Fritz; grandchildren Dina, Ali, Thomas, and Katelyn and her first great-grandchild due in September; brothers Don (Nancy) Moos and Eldon (Dana) Moos; sister Janice (Paul) Albert; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, her parents, and an infant brother.
Doline’s gentle spirit and generous heart will be greatly missed. We find comfort in the knowledge that she is once again reunited with her soulmate, Earl.
