Dolores Jablinske, age 73, of Miles City passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007 at her home in Miles City.

Dolores was born in Streeter, North Dakota on January 19, 1934 to John and Kathryn (Schaffer) Wolff. Her mother died when she was 13 days old and her father left her with cousins, Freda and MarthaDocktor in North Dakota until he married MildredMajor in 1936. Freda and Martha were heartbroken to lose their little baby. Dolores was taken back to the Watkins/Brockway area where she spent her school years, graduated in May of 1952 from Circle High School. In September of that year, she entered Presentation School of Nursing. She took a slight detour in her nursing career and married Leo Jablinske in 1954. Their son Kent was born in 1955 and in January of 1956, she returned to nursing school and graduated in September of 1956. Her daughter Carmen was born in 1956, son David in 1958 and daughter Dana Rae in 1962. After graduating, Dolores worked at the Miles City Clinic for 5 years, then at Holy Rosary Hospital for 9 years. She transferred to the Veterans Administration Hospital in 1970 and retired from there in 1993, but with children still in college, she continued to work in nursing until the time of her death, seldom missing a scheduled shift except when she fractured her leg in 2004 and was unable to work for 19 months.

In her spare time, she helped build her own home in 1981. She was an avid reader, loved bowling, dancing, crocheting, embroidery, working in her yard and traveling a little. She also enjoyed going on 4-wheelers with her sister Pat, especially to see wild flowers and going on country outings. She also filled many albums with pictures she took and wrote letters to many friends and relatives. She had an aversion to computers and still believed there was nothing like getting a hand written letter. Dolores was a member of RSVP, the Range Riders Reps of which she was president for 4 years, and secretary for 2 years. She was also a member of the Convent Keepers and volunteered many hours there.

Dolores is survived by her children: KentJablinske of Miles City, MT; Carmen Knutson of Miles City, MT and Dana Rae Jablinske of Two Harbors, MN; three grandsons: Aaron, Brandon and Eric Nelson; a sister, Patricia Smith of Broadus, MT; a brother, James Fairman of Seattle, WA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo in 1973, her son David in 1986, her parents, John andKathryn Wolff, her step mother, Mildred and a sister, Ilene.
