Donald was born in Deming, NM on December 9th, 1944 to Anthony James Annalora and Louise Annalora. Don grew up in Miles City where he attended Sacred Heart High School and was a National Merit Scholar. He later earned degrees at both Eastern Montana University and Montana State University. In 1969, Don moved to New Mexico where he taught biology and chemistry for 30 years at Wingate High School near Gallup, NM. During his teaching career, Don was also a coach and athletic trainer for the Wingate Bears football team, and a beloved mentor for numerous students who participated in the National Science Fair competition. Upon retirement, Don moved to Belgrade, MT and later, back home to Miles City.
Raised in Montana, Don was the consummate outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, but he loved the people who shared these activities with him even more. An avid reader and a model of intellectual passion for the world around him, Don always enjoyed sharing his knowledge. There was seldom a wild animal or natural phenomenon that he could not expound upon. Teaching came naturally to Don throughout his life, and the world is truly a smarter place because of him.
Donald is survived by his mother, Louise; his sons, Anthony and Andrew; his brothers, Michael and Robert; and sisters, Tamara and Jeanne.

Don was in my class at Sacred Heart Elementary and High Schools. I have not seen him since college, but you never forget the people you grow up with–especially in such a small setting. I have many happy memories of him, and will keep him in my prayers.

I was sorry to hear about Don. We were close friends in High School and College and shared many life adventures. I offer my sincere condolences to his Mother and Family. May God bless and be with him.

Another classmate from Sacred Heart! Even as a grade school kid, I appreciated Don’s sense of humor and intelligence which glowed through his quiet ways. Everyone liked him. Not surprised he was a National Merit scholar! And science teacher and coach! Good fit! Lucky are the young people touched by his life. My kindest thoughts to his family. I’d like to hear their stories!

I am sorry we couldn’t be there this evening. Although, Don and I didn’t see one another much after we were out of school I remember all the fun we had together as kids growing up. Fishing at the lake, swimming at the city pool, entertaining one another when we were at grandmas with crazy games, etc. I wish I could give you, aunt Louise and all the family, a hug. With Love & Sympathy, Ginger & Joe

I attended Miles Community College with Don, and we were roommates while completing our degrees at Eastern Montna College in Billings. I always enjoyed his quick wit and keen sense of humor.
