Donald Gene Austin, age 53, of Miles City, MT passed away at the St. Vincents Hospital in Billings, MT on February 9, 2006.
Donald was born on May 25, 1952 in Langdon, North Dakota to John and Lois Austin. He grew up in Langdon, where he went to school and graduated from High School in Langdon. Donald went to work on grain elevators and moved to Miles City in 1989 where he has worked for Beacon Carter, Peavey, and Tire-Rama. He and Lucyanna "Lanny" Peterson were married on November 3, 1988 and made their home in Miles City where they have lived since.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and tinkering with his cars. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his wife Lanny Austin of Miles City, his children; Justin Peterson, Shane Austin, Alysia (Justin) Fladland, Catherine Austin, Stacia Peterson, Terra Evans all of Miles City and Kirsty Kreuger of Minnesota, his sister Catherine Austin and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lois Austin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 11:00 am at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
