In Memory Of

Donald C. Hobson

Funeral services: Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church in Miles City

Interment: will follow at the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery in Miles City with full Military Honors

Donald C. Hobson, age 84, of Terry, MT passed away at the Veterans Administrative Medical Center in Helena on March 21, 2005.

Donald was born on November 5, 1920 to Clinton and Edith (Johnson) Hobson in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He attended schools in Wisconsin and moved to California. On October 7, 1944, Donald entered into the United States Army, during WWII, where he served until his honorably discharge on June 4, 1946. He returned to California where drove truck for many years. In 1950, he went to the Chicago motive Trades Institute where he completed the Body and Fender Rebuilding training. For the last 12 years, he worked for the F.M.C. Company. On September 3, 1987 he and Kay Wimer were married in Goldbeach, Oregon and moved to Mooncreek Road in 1994. In June of 2004, Kay and Donald moved to Terry, MT where they had resided since.

Donald is survived by his wife Kay of Terry, MT, his son Donald Hobson of St. Cloud, MN, a special nephew Nick Hobson of San Jose, CA. two daughters; Addie Mae Hobson of Terry, MT, and Linda G. Brandt of San Jose, CA, his step-son Jeff Martin of Eugene, OR, and two step-daughters; Jennifer (Don) Hong of Blackfoot, ID and Jill (Dean) Kolka of Volborg, MT, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church in Miles City. Interment will follow at the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery in Miles City with full Military Honors. If desired, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
