In Memory Of

Donald Gehrett

Funeral Service: will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.

Visitation: will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette and also from 9:00 AM Friday until the time of service.

Interment: will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Highland Cemetery in Casper, Wyoming.

Don Gehrett passed away April 19, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of complications from cancer.

Donald Ray Gehrett was born November 8, 1948, the son of Floyd M. and Eva Margaret (King) Gehrett in Casper, Wyoming. Don was raised and educated in Casper, Wyoming. Upon his schooling, he worked in the oilfields near Casper, and worked for the 3-U rental company. On October 19, 1968, he married Barbara Hagle in Casper, Wyoming and again remarried on April 26, 2002 also in Casper, Wyoming. He spent twelve years driving truck and in 1990, moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where he worked for Kamatsu as a field service mechanic until the time of his death.

Don enjoyed hunting, riding horses, and fishing, camping trips, and would spend weeks at a time in the mountains during hunting season. He was a workaholic; he loved his everyday work in the field; he was a great father and grandfather. Don was a past member of the Pony Express, and participated in the Wyoming Winter Olympics.

Don is survived by his wife, Barbara of Gillette, Wyoming; one son, Donald Gehrett II (Dottie) of Gillette, Wyoming; three daughters: Cathy Wicks of Casper, Wyoming; Jennifer Pascual of Kauai, Hawaii; and Shannon MacMillan of Casper, Wyoming; one brother, David Gehrett (Dahlia) residing in Oregon; eight grandchildren: Amber, Sara, Donald III, Colton, and Austin Gehrett all of Gillette, Wyoming; Patrick, Trevor, and Torie (awaiting her arrival) Wicks, all of Casper, Wyoming; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Clara Browne, and one brother, Robert M. Gehrett.

A memorial has been established in Dons name to benefit the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit.
