That picture looks just like Troy! I’m very saddened to hear of my children’s Grandfather passing. I often encouraged them to visit and hear the stories of their Grandparents. I don’t know if I ever knew he was in the Navy. I’m especially saddened by that. I can say this man was something of the extraordinary to me. I often referred to him as the mighty hunter, the greatest fisherman, and an extreme sports cooker! Gone are the days of his fabulous fish fries, he taught me many things about eating gross catfish, he taught me catfish was the best fish you could ever devour. And devour a plate of his fixings I did often when visiting his home! He even had a way of fileting it that I don’t think many know of this day. Gone are the days of his smoked deer salami, and sticks. The best I’ve ever had. It is so especially sad to me that this man of many talents has left us. He was the 1st real man I ever saw love his Grandchildren and actually enjoy them. I think Jaycee has lost a best friend, not just a Grandfather. It has been many years since I visited the Reiger home. My children also. I think as our lives get busy and chaotic we forget to make the special ones in our lives a priority. I hope we change that. I am especially saddened that Debbie has lost her best friend and I worry. They were the 1st couple that showed me true love and forever love does and can exist lifelong. I’m saddened Dawn, Daddy’s girl has suffered this great loss. I’m sad Noshua, who knew his Grandparents as parentals also, has suffered this great loss. I’m sad for Troy, and Ron, and I hope they all carry on the master’s talents in cooking, hunting, fishing, not for my own selfish reasons of course, but because what a great memory they can get together and remenisce about the ‘ol man’ with. My heart just goes out to all you and feels very heavy by the saddness you are all experiencing. Bryce, Roni and I, are all with you in heart and spirit and enjoying the memories we have had with their Grandfather. May you all experience peace, love and understanding in this tragic time. Love and prayers to you all.
