Don Teague, 56, of Helena, passed away unexpectedly April 21st, 2010.
Don was the fourth son born to Nellie Elizabeth (Sibley) and Robert Bob Ralph Teague of White Sulphur Springs, Montana on June 3, 1953 in Townsend, Montana. He was nicknamed Duck at an early age by his uncle Neil and the name stayed with him to his rest.Duck was full of life, always willing to jump in to whatever came his way. He started working in the ranching industry at a young age, first on the family ranch and later on the nearby Crabtree Ranch in the Smith River Valley. He was a picture of a true Montana cowboy never finding a horse too rough to ride. He also enjoyed fixing up and restoring old farm machinery, especially old tractors.
Forever happy in the great outdoors, he enjoyed hunting from an early age all sizes of wild game. The first elk story as a young hunter is shooting a bull elk and it rolled on top of him. He had to run home in order to get help to come dress it out. Another includes a later story of shooting and dragging a cow elk in his fuzzy white slippers. His numerous antelope chases with all his buddies, we think the Daffy Duck hood ornament helped his chases. He continuously threatened to use the toxic deer scent.
A great friend to many through whatever traverse conditions those friendships may bestow. Duck stood by them through thick and thin. Duck leaves behind a void in many peoples lives he has touched. He was famous for his snappy wit and one line zingers, his quick thoughts and the last word; you never knew what was coming next!
Don is preceded in death by grandparents, uncles, aunts and one cousin, his father Bob Teague and Uncle Neil Teague. He leaves behind a loving wife and friend Kristy Teague; sons Chadwick Donald Teague of Mesa, Arizona and John Teague of Great Falls; daughters DawnRae Marie (Paul) Kafka of Great Falls and Mary Jo Kraft of Helena and a step-son Mike Mix of Helena. He also leaves behind two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Kearstin. Other survivors include his mother Nellie (WSS), brothers Bob (Joanne) of Clyde Park; Ken (Teresa) of WSS; Pat (Sue) of Belgrade; and sister Martha of East Helena, along with all the extended family and his numerous friends who will miss him greatly.

Our beloved Ducky will go to be with his father and his old horse Nervie in the hereafter and having a kick a** time doing it. We will miss him forever. No matter where you look, whether it is down a fence line, in the changing seasons, up at the mountains, at a tattered pair of chaps or a pile of scrap metal his memory will always be with us.
