Dorene Carlson Robertson, age 55, of Miles City, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on October 20, 2010.

Dorene was born on May 21, 1955 in Beach, ND to Robert and Edith Carlson. She was born three minutes after her sister Maxine. Dorene was raised in Miles City, MT and graduated from Custer County High School. She married Guy Lund in June of 1973 and to this union were born Travis and Chad. In May of 1984, Dorene and Jerry Robertson were married.

Dorene was a speed swimmer in her youth. She liked to cook, liked her dogs and riding horses and loved to fish. She worked as a CNA for many years.

Dorene did a lot of traveling before her illness. She enjoyed playing board games with her children, nieces and nephews and a few friends on Saturday nights.

Dorene was preceded in death by her sister Debbie Carlson and her father Robert.

Dorene is survived by her sons; Travis Lund and Chad Lund of Miles City, her mother Edith Ebert; brothers Farron Carlson (Linda), Carl Carlson and Claude Carlson (Cheryl); twin sister Maxine Leatherberry (Al) and sister Robin Leatherberry (Ray) as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Private Interment will be held in the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
