Doris K. Seaman, age 86, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Doris was born in Baker, Montana on October 4, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Elvie (Trealoff) Kuehn. She attended grade school in Baker and graduated from Baker High School. Following graduation, she continued her education in Billings where she graduated from cosmetology school in Billings. Doris married Lester Seaman on September 13, 1941 in Baker, Montana. Following their marriage, they moved to Washington where they lived during World War II, they later moved to Baker, Montana, Worland, Wyoming, and to Miles City. When in Miles City, Doris began working at JC Penneys as a clerk. She continued to work there for 20 years. During their retirement, Doris and Lester loved to travel and play cards. She also volunteered at Holy Rosary Hospital and was a member of Esther Circle.
Doris is survived by a son, Larry D. (Peggy) Seaman of Pequot Lakes, MN; a daughter, Delores G. (Douglas) Gaskill of Miles City, MT; five grandchildren: Troy D. Seaman, Teri J. Ogden, Bowen (Sheri) Steiner, Cody B. Steiner, and Tyler (Christy Erickson) Steiner; a step grandson, Douglas Jr. and Elisa Gaskill of Colstrip, MT; seven great grandchildren; two nephews: Willard Jr. and Alyce Kuehn of Ekalaka, MT and Dennis (Kathy) Kuehn of Ekalaka, MT; and a special friend, Sam Mehre.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family receiving friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
