A skilled capenter Dornie worked many years in Colstrip, MT during the constructions of the power plant. He worked many turnarounds for the Laurel and Billings refineries as well as the Colstrip plants. When Dornie moved to Spokane he worked the turnarounds for several dams in Washington and Oregon.
