Dorothy Love

Graveside service: Friday, May 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Miles City

Dorothy Mary Love, age 90, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Dorothy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 26, 1914, the daughter of John and Barbara (Delaney) Kean. She moved to Montana at an early age with her family and they farmed in the Miles City area and attended schools. Dorothy married Paul Love in January of 1933 in Miles City. She worked at the Miles City Laundry and the Miles City Creamery. The family then moved to Washington where Paul began working in the lumber mills and Dorothy stayed at home to raise their family. After Paul died in 1999, she moved to Miles City and has remained here ever since.Dorothy belonged to the Womens Relief Corps in Aberdeen, Washington. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and spending time with friends and especially her family.

Dorothy is survived by two sons: James "Jim" Love and his wife Noreen of Miles City, MT; Paul "Butch" Love and his wife Lauren of Olympia, WA; two daughters: Barbara Russell and her husband William of Lacey, WA; and Beverly Stillwell and her husband Lee of Shelton, WA; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, an infant son Patrick, a daughter Shirley and a sister, Geraldine Vessey.

At Dorothys request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
