This is not a time for sorrow. Douglas Glenn is finally at rest after a long illness, passing away on December 2, 2006 at his home in Forsyth.Douglas Glenn Feakes, age 74, of Forsyth was born on December 16, 1931, and was adopted by George Ray & Lydia (Nelson) Feakes.
In 1950, he married Dorothy Riemer. To this union 6 children were born, Doug, Danny, Darrell, David, Darlene, and Darwin.Doug was a mechanic and welder on road construction. He worked in many states and in South America. In 1971, Doug opened his own welding and automotive repair shop. During the time when Colstrip boomed, he went to work there and continued until his retirement in 1986.
All his life, Doug enjoyed fishing. He was especially close to and will be particularly missed by his wife of 56 years.
Douglas Glenn is survived by his wife Dorothy, his sons Doug of Falcon, MO, Danny (Nancy) and their daughters Teresa, Katie and Suzie of Rolla, MO, Darwin (Nancy) and their daughters Jenny & Julia of East Glacier, MT; one daughter Darlene (Darold) Morrison and their daughter Karen (Pat) Belgarde of Forsyth as well as one great grandchild due in April. He is also survived by his sister Colleen Underwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons Darrell and David, one granddaughter Michelle and his brother Wally Nelson.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth.
