Douglas J. Shymanski, age 47, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Monday, December 12, 2005 while working in Big Piney, Wyoming.
Douglas James Shymanski was born the son of Francis Ski and Darlene (Hey) Shymanski in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was raised and educated in Nebraska and South Dakota. Upon his graduation in 1976 he joined the United States Navy and traveled the seven seas until 1980 when he was honorably discharged. His life then turned to working in the oil fields and the rigs became his chosen profession for the next 25 years. Doug was dedicated to his job and everything that he did. He never turned away a friend and would help anyone, anywhere and anytime.
Doug is survived by his parents, Francis Ski and Darlene Shymanski of Rapid City, South Dakota; two brothers: Wayne and wife Janice Shymanski of Rapid City, South Dakota and Gene Shymanski of Stockton, California; three nephews and one niece.
