Drucella Faith Killsnight, “Taa’eame’e” (Night Pemmican Woman), age 58, journeyed to Maheo (creator) on August 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family members. She was born on May 17, 1958 in Crow Agency, Montana to James Killsnight, Sr. and Regina Longroach-Killsnight. Drucella was raised most of her life in Lame Deer, Montana on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. She attended school in Lame Deer and Busby. She often spoke of becoming Homecoming Queen in High School, however, she did not get to complete her education. We are uncertain of dates and times of her employment. Sometime in the seventies she worked as a dental assistant, and also helped family and friends by babysitting their children. Later in the eighties she worked as a cook for the elderly complex in Lame Deer and in Ashland. She then worked as a dispatcher for the Lame Deer Police Department, as janitor at the Lame Deer Clinic and the Lame Deer IGA, which she retired from for six years, then resumed employment in 2015 when she then was promoted to custodianmaintenance supervisor. Her hobbies include beading, listening to gospel music, and praying the Rosary. She always put others before herself, and was always willing to help those in need. Drucella’s advice to her children and friends was to always pray and forgive those who have wronged you.
In 1977 she met Dudley Fisher, after ten years they then married, and in this union they had two daughters Anya and Toni Fisher. They later divorced. In 1987 she had a relationship with John Knowshisgun and during their relations they had one son, Vincent Killsnight. In 2001 she then married Merlin Jay Jones, Sr. From this union they had two children, Merlin Jay Jones Jr. and Merlyn Celestine Jones. They were later divorced. Presently her common law husband is Ambrose Tallbull. They were together for sixteen years. Drucella is survived by her husband Ambrose Tallbull, three daughters Anya Fisher, Toni Fisher, and Merlyn Celestine Jones, two sons Merlin Jay Jones Jr. and Vincent Donavon Killsnight, six grandchildren Rosie Fisher, Echo Littlebear, Regina Fisher, Noah Wilson, and a special grandson that she raised, Drew Fisher, adopted grandson Adrian Goodbear Jr. and her great grandchildren Zaibriella Iron, and Brenda Fisher. Her beloved pet “Pebbles” is left behind as well as her siblings Marcian (Connie) KN, Rosanne (Wayne) Headswift, Anthony (Betty) KN, Ferdinand KN, James KN Jr., Clement KN, and Velecia KN. Proceeding her in death is her parents, brothers Christopher and Xavier KN, sister Gertrude KN and granddaughter Roseann Fisher. The family would like to thank the Frontier Cancer Center, Dr. Cobb, St. Vincent Health Care Staff, and all others that assisted in the care of our mother. Drucella’s family and friends are quite extensive, so we apologize if we have left anyone out.

I was so sad to hear of Drucellas passing. I have such good memories of her–and remember her cute little laugh when we would visit. She was a sweet girl; very pleasant and always was prompt in taking care of her business with me. Your family will be kept in my prayers. God bless you.

During the years, I held many friendly conversations with Drucella. She was a hard worker and usually when we visited, she was working. She always spoke of her children and grandchildren, nephews and nieces and family in a good way. Like all of us, she faced a lot of things, but she was always strong, proud, and never complaining. She would smile and say, well, it’s ok. I’m ok. She is a very lovely lady of the old school.

Prayers and my Condolences go to Drucella’s Family…. We have talked on the telephone as I called you from Phoenix,Az and always told me who needed prayer and sometimes we just prayed right then.. We grew up together from grade school and on… I will miss you and our phone calls, and I was hoping to visit with you sometimes in the near future. We laughed together on the phone. You were such a good Friend.
