My father’s home was in Boring Oregon since 1967, Kathy Sims was his 3rd wife, he was never a resident of Montana. He was also survived by his Sister Betty Lou Hough of Napa Idaho, and 2 brother’s Ronnie and Harry Millspaugh of Ptld OR. It is a shame that his children Michael Duane, Patrick Allen, Shawn Marie, & Bradley Joe were not notified of his services until now. He was moved to Montana in his late stages of brain cancer, we were unable to stop the move. Rest in peace Daddy.

My father was a lost soul. In his defense he was born in the mist of a great depression with a dust bowl thrown in for good measure. He was just a boy when WWII started and along came more restrictions. Food, gas, everything was rationed, it must have been difficult for a young man like my father to have endured. He had a voracious appetite for life. That’s why it came as no surprise that my father would do just about anything to fill that empty void . One of Dad’s favorite sayings was, “You’re only on this ball of mud X number of days. If you find something that blows your skirt up….DO IT! ” My Father did some terrible things in his life, we all do, I just hope that during his long illness he had time to reflect and regret some of those actions. He had a good chance at redemption while serving time in Lom Poc federal prison. His mother, our Grandmother Nora, A beacon of goodness and someone who never gave up on Dad, had died while he was incarcerated. I know that while he was there he walk, attended sweat lodges and had time to reflect. Grandma’s passing had to have been a wake up call, he loved her very much. But rather than rehabilitate Pops, He was only emboldened by the other inmates crimes. Hell, my Father could have sold ice cubes to eskimos. That’s how good he was at the deal. Dad stopped dealing when he stopped breathing. You see, that was his life and he loved the rush above all else. Unfortunately he never learned one of life’s simplest lessons…. Love of money (not money itself) is the root of all evil and he loved his money. In his hay days he wore a gaudy tic tac toe horse shoe Liberace diamond ring on every finger and it looked good on him. He actually pulled it off. But his downfall was believing that if he could only get more that somehow he would be more. Meanwhile his children, both by blood and by marriage, grew up lost and seeking a Father. At times growing up I thought I wanted to be like Dad. If he taught me one thing it might have been , P-boy… learn from my mistakes. I’m still learning. Dad’s life echos through mine as I write this. I see him in the mirror some mornings. I hear him when I’m impatient an yelling at innocent old people in traffic and I know that fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree….. Lord help us. Your work is finished Pappy, you danced beautifully…….. my sweet crushed Angel.

Shame on you Shawn = Your dad pasted happy and at peace. You last saw him long before he moved to Montana. The very next day you emptied his safe deposit box at the US Bank in Sandy Oregon of the entire contents. Remember, you had to have the safe deposit box drilled out because your father was still alive and would not give you the key you kept trying to get from him and claiming you lost yours. May God forgive you for your greed.
