Part One, need to fast forward 18 minutes:
Part Two:
On the evening of May 25th, 2022, Dustin Dewayne Dodd unexpectedly left us all too soon at the comfort of his favorite gathering point, the shop. Dustin was 29 years old.
He was born November 30, 1992, in Billings, Montana at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was the second born child to Delynda and Kelly Dodd. He was the perfect baby, calm and always sleeping through the night.
Dustin’s love for trucks and telling jokes started at the young of three, riding with his father and playing the skunk game. From there it went to the red Ford, where many memories and friendships were formed and where he met “the wife”.
Lifelong bonds were created, picking up beer cans at the Bucking Horse Sale just to pass Math. In this same class he mastered his story telling to get them all out of trouble for being late and to waste time just to delay the start of class.
He tried his way with riding bulls his Junior and Senior year of high school. Giving everyone a scare with the ride that sent him to the hospital in Sidney, MT (2010). But Dustin was a fighter.
Winter formal, December10, 2010, Dustin started dating the love of his life, Kelly, his soulmate, and the only one who could keep in line, “the wife”. They welcomed the first of 3 handsome and strong boys in 2014. And finally promised Kelly, to love her for the rest of his life on June 6, 2015.
Dustin had many business adventures never passing up an opportunity to partner with friends and family. Traveling with friends to work in the oilfield until 2014 when Rough Stock Construction was created. Then came Quality Septic in 2016. And finally Flying S and D & S Tire Supplies. Dustin’s friends were chosen family. He enjoyed watching them grow their families and would be there for any of them. He loved all their children like they were his own. But his family was his pride and joy. He loved them so much. They will always be “his little family”.
When it came to Dustin, his honor was sacred and his virtue impermanent. Integrity was important to him. For him, his word was everything. He worked hard to provide for his family. And from an early age he loved to go trucking with his dad. Dustin’s passion for truck driving turned into a career. A legacy for his boys.
Dustin is survived by his wife Kelly Jo; sons Mavrik, Liam, and Zane; parents Kelly and Delynda Dodd; sister Crystal (Dustan) Smith; nephews Dustan Jr., Cadon and Hunter Smith; niece Abbie Smith; in-laws Larry (DeeAnn) Wagoner and Jodi (Shane) Loomis; sister-in-law, Rhonda Wagoner; grandparents Pat and Kathy Lifto. Dustin leaves behind so many, many friends and chosen family.
Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents Rodger and Mary Dodd and Charlie and Marion Young.
In lieu of flowers, Dustin’s memory may be honored by sending memorials to help his little family with expenses.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We will celebrate Dustin’s life with a funeral service at Grace Bible Church in Miles City on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

Dear Dodd family and especially Kelly and the boys
I was truly shocked and saddened by this news. Dustin was a pal of my son in high school and I had Dustin in my classes. I remember him telling me at graduation, “I couldn’t have gotten through English with out you.” I’ve watched Dustin grow into a responsible adult with a successful business and a beautiful family.
My heart goes out to all of you. May, in time, your memories outweigh your sadness. All of my prayers go out to you.
