Dustin Roger Hickey ” Gentle Giant ” passed away February 1, 2016 in Odessa, TX, due to unexpected medical complications, with his Fiancé Virginia “Mariel” Vera by his side.
Dustin was born December 21, 1986 to Stephanie ( Stoldorf ) Hickey and the late Roger Dreo Hickey. Dustin will forever be Stephanie’s “Sunshine Baby”. Dustin was an awesome big brother to Dezarae Lynn, David Dreo, Daevun Ann, and Dallus Gene. He attended schools in MT, SD, NE, MN, VA, MO, and TN. He loved to play football, it was the only reason to go to school. While in school, Dustin wrote a story about his Grandma Linda and had it published in the Honor Society Magazine in Washington D.C. Dustin started learning his father’s trade and quickly surpassed him in salesmanship and problem solving. Dustin could look at something once and build it. He was an amazing carpenter. He liked to draw and take things apart to put it back together in his way and was always inventing something. Dustin enjoyed drawing , building houses, computer programming, but more than anything he loved his family. He would give you anything he had if you needed it. Dustin could do anything he set his mind to. Dustin was a Gentle Giant. Dustin was an amazing gift to us all. He was so full of life. He could always make everyone smile no matter what we were going through, Dustin would always make it better almost instantly. It was always an adventure while you were with him, you never knew what to expect while together.
Dustin is survived by his Mother Stephanie ( Stoldorf ) Hickey of Gillette, WY; Godfather Albert ” Troy” Quenzer of Gillette, WY. Fiancee Viginia ” Mariel ” Vera of Odessa TX ; children Joel, Marcos, Nathan, Alysza,and Ximenna of Odessa TX. Sister Dezarae Hickey-Jensen (Brian) of Gillette, Wy, Brother David Hickey(Jessica) of Gillette, WY., Sisters Daevun and Dallus Hickey of Granview , ND. , Nephews Brenner, Dreo And Hunter and a niece Emily. Special Aunts Shanna ( Scott ) Thompson of Miles City and Trisha ( Cory ) Sattler of Miles City, as well as “Uncle” Robert ” Robbie” Hickey II of Miles City, MT. Numerous aunts, uncles, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, and Cousins.
Dustin was preceded in death by his Father Roger Dreo Hickey, His Maternal Grandma Linda Stoldorf Worrell and Paternal Grandmother Deborah H. Singer. Dustin will be resting with his Grandma Linda as the two of them had a special bond and seem to be inseparable.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery.
