In Memory Of

Earle “Pinky” Pelletier, age 88, of Miles City.

August 16, 1936 – July 9, 2025

Earle “Pinky” Pelletier, 88 years-old, passed away July 9, 2025 in Billings, Montana.
Pinky was born August 16, 1936 in Old Town, Maine to parents Frank and Emma Pelletier.
After growing up in Maine starting in 1955, Pinky served his country through the Air Force. Pinky made Miles City home with his wife Ella Mae where they had nine children together. Pinky enjoyed being outside, fishing, feeding “his” birds and working on any project he could get his hands on. He loved his family, friends and, of course, lobster.
Those who knew him knew what a great guy he was. Those who didn’t get the opportunity to know him missed out. His greatest accomplishment was having a wonderful and loving family.
Pinky was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Emma, sister, Theresa, brothers, Jerry and Phil, and daughter, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ella Mae, children and their spouses: Michael Pelletier, Frank Pelletier and Mike Duncan, Jimmy and Tami Pelletier, John and Shelly Pelletier, Lisa and Bob Wagner, Jen and Travis Zeilstra, Amy and Rob Pontius and Sara and Terry Kellum, as well as grandchildren; Joe Pelletier and Brady Ferriter, Danny Debates, Misty Debates, Jerry Debates, Natalie Pelletier, Marcus Pelletier, Tyler Hedge and Alex Butcher, Allie Wagner, Izzy Wagner, Addison Pontius, Elizabeth Zeilstra, Evan Zeilstra, Jaiden Kellum and Madi, Emma Kellum and great-grandchildren; Emil Debates, Ambrose Newquist, Adalina Pelletier, Alexander Gray and Azaelia Hedge.
He will always be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery in Miles City with full military honors. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the VFW or the charity of one’s choice.

Pinky and I worked at the Road Department back in the day! I remember running parts to the country for the guys when he was mechanic and when he needed to be in the shop. He was a nice gentleman and accepted a female to the crew when I was hired. My condolences to the family…

I will miss his Saturday walks through farmers market. He said hello every week. Each of us had a Pelletier student in our grades or close. I had Mary, Vaughn had Jim, not sure on Rhonda or Nicole. But our families grew up together. Pinky was the friendliest guy in town, him and Pete Leo were the best! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

    To the Pelletier Family
I have known Pinky for many years, I first met him way back in the 70s when my dad and Pinky worked together at the TEXICO gas station. Pinky was always smiling and he looked like he was enjoying life. In recent years I could also see him at the Hockey Rink.

A very kind and generous person. Whenever I was in Miles city, I would try to stop by and always drive through the old neighborhood.
