Edward (GWhiz) was born to Edward Medicine Top Sr. and Cora Hollowbreast on July 30, 1957 in Crow Agency in Montana, he was adopted by Donald Rowland Sr. Edward was a son, brother, father and, a very proud grandfather, and friends to all. Edward a Northern Cheyenne Member attended school in Lame Deer and St Labre, Montana. Edward was called home by Maheo (Creator) on October 5, 2020 surrounding by family before his journey home.
He was appointed deacon at New Apostolic Church in Billings and Birney Montana. He was well known as GWhiz from childhood to his hospital bed. He’s enjoyments were golfing, video gaming, fantasy football, coffee, and spending time with grandchildren. His job included but not limited to; firefighter, billings gazette for years, he grew up in the Birney area before relocating and spending remaining of his adult life in Billings Montana.
He married Roberta Pine and they had eight children, Edward is survived by two sons, Edward III (Fabiola) of Billings Montana and Isaiah of Ashland; five daughters, Shandi, Stephanie of Corpus Christi Texas, Sheea, Shmega, Shcora of Billings Montana; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Cedric (Rita)and family of Lame Deer and Don Rowland Jr. and family,of Ashland. Other brothers Adam, Emmitte, Alden Medicine Top, Wesly and Navitte Spotted Elk, Austin Littlesun, Philbert Killsnight, Lupe Killsontop, William Bunnell. Other sisters Mary Grace, Stella Medicine Top , Elizabeth (Floyd) Hiwalker, Helen Yellowrobe, Judy Tallbull, Diana Baysinger many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, amongst other grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, baby at birth, mom, dad, aunt Eva Mae Calf Robe, Edna Deafy, Don Hollowbreast, Eli Killsnight, Roselyn Wolfback, Daisy Ann Rowland, Gerald Rowland, Joseph and Josephine Medicine Top, Logan Medicine Top, Lloyd Yellowrobe ( brother in law), Grandparents: Hubert and Cora Hollowbreast, John and Ida (Littleoldman Medicine Top).
His extended families include Hollowbreast, Medicine Top, Mendoza, Gallardo, Rowland, Redbird, Fightingbear, Littleoldman, Killsnight, Whitedirt, Bites, Limpys, Big Medicine, Littlesun, Whitemans and Littlesun. We greatly apologize in advance for any missed family and extended member names.
At this time the Family would like to thank all of Billings Clinic, Advance Care Hospital all staff, and all the people that prayed and was part of GWhiz’s care during this difficult time.
