Edward James “Eddie” Anderson, age 74, of Billings formerly of Fallon passed away quietly and peacefully on December 28, 2013 at his home in Billings after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Eddie was born on March 14, 1939 in Buffalo, South Dakota to Clara (Sack) and Ben Anderson. He was a twin and he was a gentleman, allowing his twin sister Etta to arrive first. Eddie was the youngest of five children. Eddie served in the United States Army from 1961 – 1963. He was a true soldier.
Eddie loved hunting and fishing. He and his wife Alice’s fondest memories are at Fort Peck Lake where they taught their children and grandchildren to fish and water ski and spent time with all their wonderful friends. His other interest was MMA. He drove to Texas and bought a cage and brought MMA to Eastern Montana. He enjoyed watching his youngest son Brandon fight inside the cage. Eddie worked for WBI until 1999 and retired due to health problems. He met many good friends through his work.
Eddie is survived by his wife Alice, son Todd (Sara) Anderson of Dickinson, ND, daughter Stephanie Harper of Billings, MT, son Brandon Anderson of Williston, ND, son Dana (Heather) Quenzer of Roundup, MT; grandchildren: Robby, Ashlee, Ryan, Saraya, Brittney, Parker, Peytan, Taylor, Skyler, Shaylee, Kiera and Karma, Soda and Etta (twin sister) Maher, mother-in-law Dorothy Madler, sisters-in-law Squirt Anderson and Arlene (Don) Groshans, brothers-in-law Mike (Donna) Madler, Tom Madler and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Clara Anderson, brothers Don and Kenny Anderson, Sister Renee Lehman and step daughter Monica DeMunbrun, and father-in-law Bud Madler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery with full military honors. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
