Edwin Biglefthand

Wake: Friday, April 17, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer, MT

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Club in Lame Deer, MT

Burial: will follow in the Birney Village Cemetery in Birney, MT

Edwin Biglefthand, Aenohoso (Littlehawk) Decendent of Chief American Horse, age 59 of Lame Deer, left us to be with Mahoe on April 13, 2009.

Edwin was born November 27, 1949 the son of Rapheal and Ruth Sooktis Biglefthand. Edwin grew up in Birney Village and lived in Lame Deer. He attended school at St. Labre in Ashland.His first job was with the Guilds Arts & Crafts in Ashland. He was currently employed as a security guard for the Northern Cheyenne Tribe where he worked for many years.Edwin was united with Karen Walksnice and from this union came Viola and Alvin.In 1993 he remarried Philomena American Horse, whom he loved very much.He loved to attend Pow-Wows and also like to watch on at Sundances. He was always working. But he also loved to be around family and friends. He also loved to go hunting and liked to watch sports.

In addition to his parents, Edwin was preceded in death by his brother Alvin and his sister Emma Jean B.L.H. Littlebear.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Philomena BLH, his brothers Silas B.L.H (Alice) and Clifton Sooktis, his sister Viola W.(Isaac), his children and step children, Viola B.L.H., Alvin (Kendra) B.L.H, Darrell W.M. Sr.(Rachel), Kevin WM, Jennifer S. (Darrell), his grandkids, Larissa K.N, Destiny T.W.M, Tommy N.W., Kelly N.W., Alvin B.L.H, Jr., Jaden S., Darrell W.M. Jr., Brittany W.M., Anthea & Athena W.M, Angelica W.M., Kanea W.M., Native W.M., Darlyn W.M. and numerous nieces and nephews.He is also survived by his extended family, Nancy Fightingbear, Veta (Joe) Fightingbear, Mryna Sooktis, Vernen and Rubie Sooktis. Extended families include Elk Shoulder, Whitedirts, StrangeOwls, NightWalkers, Bigbacks, Limberhands, Fightingbears, Rednecks, Manns, Standing Waters, American Horses, Little Coyotes , Whistling Elks, Eaglefeathers. Too many to remember all. Please except our sincerest apologies if we forgot to mention your name.
