Wake Service: Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center

Interment: will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery

Eleanora McKay (Toka Icu Winyan) Takes the Enemy age 65, of Poplar, Montana, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2004 at the North Eastern Montana Health Facility in Wolf Point, Montana after a brief illness with cancer.

Eleanora was born on March 28, 1938, in Poplar, Montana, the daughter of Daniel and Rena (Taylor) Comes Last Sr. In her younger years, she helped her dad train and ride horses north of Poplar. Her love of horses was passed on to children, raising quarter horses and bucking horses. Eleanora was married to Virgil Four Bear for over twenty years. This marriage later ended but she and Virgil remained friends. She later married and divorced Leroy Pomani of South Dakota. Eleanora then married and divorced Floyd McKay of North Dakota.

Eleanoras hobbies included singing; for which she was nicknamed Song Bird by her friends of the Blackfeet nation, dancing, traveling to pow-wows, and playing bingo in her spare time. She served on numerous committees for the elderly and Poplar Indian Days Celebration as well as rodeos. She also enjoyed spending time with her numerous grandchildren.

Eleanora is survived by her mother, Rena Comes Last, two brothers, Daniel Comes Last Jr. and Leroy (Sabrina) Comes Last, her sons; Charles (Anna) Four Bear, Dale Four Bear, Cornell Four Bear and Delvin Four Bear, and her daughters; Rena Williams and Noreen Figueroa. She is also survived by a special nephew, Dana Comes Last, adopted son Alex Trotier, adopted daughters; Gay Paulson, Sonja Garfield, June Greybull, Marva Young Bear, Susan Brunelle, Patricia Iron Cloud, and Orian Baker, adopted brothers; Alvin Windy Boy, Jonathan Windy Boy, Adrian Ireland, Cleveland Holy Elk Boy, Mike Peney, and Ray Eder, adopted sisters; Diane Martin, Sandra Birthmark, Nellie Youpee, Darlene Gray, Beverly Bellegard, and Jan Bellegard, numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A wake service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center with rev. Ray White Tail Feathers officiating. Interment will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Poplar is in charge of the services. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
