In Memory Of

Elias Torren LaRance, age 30, of Lame Deer

August 7, 1990 – October 21, 2020

Elias Torren Larance 8/7/1990 – 10/21/2020 Travois (Amesto’eeseo’o) was brought into the world on August 7, 1990 To Karen LaRance and the late Emery Fisher. Elias was given his Cheyenne name Amesto’eeseo’o from his uncle Conrad Fisher who was named after his great grandfather Bigleg.  The uncle of John Fisher.  Bigleg was the first treasurer of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe.  Elias had a big heart, he always worried about his siblings, nieces, and nephews.  He loved babysitting them.  He enjoyed being involved at basketball events.  He loved music his favorite artists were Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliot, Nicki Minaj.  He loved camping at local pow-wows with his family.  He was always a helping hand with our grandma Martha, and helping our mom Karen.  He always had fond memories of his closest friends.  He loved beading, reading, and photographer at our family events.  Loved to travel around. He always had a joke for everyone, and never liked anyone to be mad or sad when he was around.  Growing up he loved going to the Cheyenne Immersion Camp at Crazy Head Springs.  He was a very good at making dreamcatchers.  He will be missed dearly.  He will be missed by his family.  We would like to thank everyone especially his special friends and to his partner, Benji Running.  Thank you to St. Vincents Health care for taking care of Elias during his last days.

He is survived by his uncles Conrad Fisher of Lame Deer, Burton Fisher Jr. of Oregon, Dennis Carter of Arnkansas, Lionel Fisher of Billings, Aunts Colleen Medicine Eagle, Marilyn Wilson, Mary Ann Weasel Bear. Elias is related to the OldBull, Fisher, Rogers, Sandcrane, Lamebear, Bighead, Fighting Bear, Clubfoot, Firecrow, Crazymule, Yellowfox, and Seminole.

And many more of our family. We apologize for any one we missed as it was not our intention.

Travel well Sister Mom and nephew, Brother, you are in no more pain.  We will always love and miss you until we meet again.

Very sad to hear about the loss of these two dear people. Very difficult times. Only God knows your ups and downs and the struggles you have been through. Hope and believe you will be triumphant in the end where there is no more death and suffering. May you rest in peace for now.
