She fell in love and they were married on June 29, 1947, after he returned from World War II. They lived in Missoula while Warren attended the University of Montana. Virginia stayed on the farm with Liz and Warren, helping with the farm. Virginia was married for a short time and has two sons: Ryan and Warren Venable. Warren Venable is still farming at the Rock Springs farm.
She enjoyed all of the events of her family with many holiday gatherings and especially the Old Settlers Picnic at Rock Springs. Liz and Warren loved to dance together. She loved music and played the piano and keyboard very well until her hands got arthritis too bad. Liz loved makeup and clothes and sold Beauty Counselor Makeup. She enjoyed family get together’s with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Warren and Liz enjoyed traveling in their RV together. Liz and Warren moved to the Friendship Villa in 2013 where she remained until the time of her death.
Liz is survived by her two daughters: Carin (Jim) Larsen of Forsyth and Virginia Ronning of Miles City; Liz’s grandchildren: Wendy (Lafe) Larsen Warren and their children Brac and Cade; Lori Larsen Vance and her children Laney and Haley; Tyler (Tisha) Larsen and their children Shellbie and Kenan; Ryan (Jill) Venable and their children Carter, Sofie and Elise; Warren (Sarina) Venable and their children Ashley, Jayden, Kyler and Warren III; two sisters in law: Dorothy Ronning Tilton Bakken and Kathleen Olander Ronning. Diana Ruis says
What wonderful memories I have of Liz and Warren and all they meant to my parents, Art & Inez, and our family. We had such good times at our country church and the Rock Springs Hall. Liz always looked so sharp, and had a smile. I’ll never forget when she put a swimming pool in her back yard so all us neighbor kids could take swim lessons! It saddens me to think we lost Shirley Taylor, Mom, and Liz in a year’s time but guess God needed some help planning a big picnic in Heaven. Hugs to Carin, Virginia, and family. May fond memories make you smile.
