Elsie Kathrine "Katy" Morast, age 90, of Terry passed away on Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Prairie County Nursing Home in Terry.
Elsie was born in Manhaven, North Dakota on December 23, 1912, the daughter of Bernhardt and Caroline (Weisenbuger) Kilber. Elsie was baptized on February 9, 1913 and was confirmed on March 28, 1926. She attended schools in Hazon, North Dakota. Elsie married George Morast Jr. in 1935 in the family home in North Dakota. Elsie and George made their home on the Morast farm north of Terry where they lived for over 35 years. In 1972, they moved to Terry. George passed away in 1981. Elsie has been living at the Prairie County Nursing Home since 1998.Elsie loved to do quilting, gardening, and crafts.
Elsie is survived by three sons: Duane Morast and his wife Nancy of Kalispell, MT; Larry Morast and his wife Meri of Terry, MT; and Dale Morast and his wife Nelly of Kent, WA; a daughter, Donna Morast of Laurel, MT; a brother, Arnold Kilber and his wife Bertha of Mandan, ND; a sister, Ella Huber of Cheney, WA; ten grandchildren: Lon Morast of Hillborro, OR; Llonda (Clint) Grame of Kalispell, MT; Lora (Jonathan) Anderson; Shelly (Tim) Gritten; Kevin (Sara) Morast; Johnny (Terri Morast; Gary Shelley) Morast; Tammy Fosjold of Minneapolis, MN; Tina (Clayton) Schulze of Billings, MT; and Travis Morast of Billings, MT; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 1981, four sisters: Edna Untersher, Olga Schuh, Alvina Grosz, and Hertha Wolff.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2003 in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fallon. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Prairie County Cemetery in Terry.
