In Memory Of

Emerson Jackson

Wake: 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Frazer Community Hall in Frazer.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, June 17 at the Frazer Community Hall.

Interment: will follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Frazer.

Emerson F. Jackson, age 48, of Frazer, MT went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2011 at his residence in Frazer.

Emer attended school in Frazer and intermoutian school in Utah. He rode bareback in the 80s and received the Indian Circuit Rookie of the Year in bareback. He enjoyed participating in and watching Wild Horse Racing. He also enjoyed attending the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale, Poplar Indian Days, Red Lodge and the Wolf Point Stampede. He was a firefighter and seismographer. He worked at the A&S Industry and gas and oil fields for many years. Emer like to watch his son, Brickie, ride in the rodeos. He enjoyed attending all of his childrens sports activities and kept score for them. Emer was proud to be a father, grandfather, and a very good friend to many people. He supported his children in the Lodge and in all their activities. He was baptized in St. Josephs Catholic Church in Frazer, Montana. Branding, fishing, hunting, breaking horses, and riding bareback is what he enjoyed the most.

Emer is survived by his mother, Mary B. Hayes of Frazer; children, Brickie, Krista, Lizzy and Fanci Jackson all of Frazer, Tyson Blackeagle and Robin Blount Jr. both of Wolf Point, MT; longtime companion, Kim Blackeagle of Frazer; aunt, Annie Helegson of Hayes, MT; uncle, Prince (Ruby) Brockie of Hayes; brother, Clarence Indian Jackson of Frazer; sisters, Mary Sue Jackson of Frazer, and Wilberta (Marvin) Toavs of Wolf Point; grandchildren, Meadow, Kailei, Tyana, Norman, Dana and Joseph; god parents, Joe Beston and Susan La Roque both of Frazer; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert; sister, Rosalyn Toni Jackson; brothers, Stonewall, James and Chief; paternal grandparents, Stonewall and Suzie Fisk-Jackson; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Mary Fox-Brockie; and nephew, Jordie Jackson.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Frazer Community Hall in Frazer. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 17 also at the Frazer Community Hall. Interment will follow at the St. Josephs Cemetery in Frazer. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangement
