On October 18th 2013, the Lord saw Ernestine getting weak, so he came and took her hand without a chance to say goodbye, Ernestine was such a happy girl with a beautiful smile, without a care in the world she made it worthwhile. She made everyone think, and played with their mind, knowing that the Lord ONLY TAKES the BEST!!
On December 17th 1983 a Beautiful daughter was born to Dolly & Ernest Little Mouth Sr. They named her Ernestine, who grew in her own unique ways, she was always curious about everything, never stopped asking questions, teasing her siblings, making them laugh, giving them encouraging words. At the age of 13, Ernestine began having health problems not showing her pain, but celebrating like there was no tomorrow. Ernestine was a traditional lady who fasted at our homeland Bear Butte and was involved in our cultural ways. She was always proud of her nieces and nephews, showing her Love and playfulness that will never be forgotten, Ernestine always had something in her goodie bag, while the kids stood and waited for her to give them a surprise! Her hobbies were cruising under the bright lights of Billings, walking around town leading her best friend William Plainbull, who always waited by her side. Ernestine enjoyed her smoking, not caring who was there to say so, yet still showing her respect.
Ernestine is preceded in death by her daughter Tanaya Tevon, Grandparents Joe & Nancy Sandcrane, Preston & Mamie Little Mouth, nephew Joseph Brock, baby Oldman, Niece Shetae Sandcrane, & Best Friend Kamie Crazymule.
Survivors include A very Special Daughter America Morning Glory Lamewoman, who she dearly Loved, her parents Dolly & Ernest LittleMouth of Birney, Siblings Nancy jean, September (Simon) Walksalong, Darcy Jane, Preston (Monica), Ernest “Ace” LittleMouth Jr. all of Birney Mt. Uncles: Alec (Cassandra) Sandcrane, Roger & Gilbert(Crystal) LittleMouth, Rocky & Tyrone Bearchum of Ashland, adopted uncle Dale Bear of Poplar. Aunts: Patty Oldman, Libby(Barry) Webster, Huberta Bearchum, Jennifer Spotted Elk of North Dakota, Leah(Cruz) Bixby of Lame Deer, Arlene Gray & Nellie(Les)Hogan Sr. of Ashland. Cousins: Sheldon (Michelle) Sandcrane, Eldon(Karlina) Sandcrane, Charlie(Carolyn) Oldman, Shawntay & Forrest(Amber) Oldman, Eldon, Lalo, Sarah, Leandra Miller and Angie Sandcrane, Numerous cousins, nieces & nephews, too many to name, whom she Loved and adored very much! Always asking for Ollie & Dolly, which will be greatly missed! Her relatives Standing Elks, Rednecks, Big Backs, StrangeOwls, Pines, Bellymules, Fightingbears, Goggles, Nightwalkers, Bearchums, Fishers, Spottedwolfs, Shoulderblades, Elkshoulders, Wandering medicine, Clubfoot’s, Lamebears, Gray, Solis, Littleheads, Messers, Rockroads. We are sorry if we have missed any other families.
We would like to give special thanks to Billings Clinic Dialysis staff, for their support throughout Ernestine’s treatment.
Ernestine leaves behind a special friend William Plainbull of billings, and Her Best friend Micheala Beartusk of billings, and a Billings Uncle Ken dog.

Dear family of Ernestine Shavon Little Mouth – I hope you are comforted by your beautiful memories and by Bible promises at this difficult time. It was not the Creator’s purpose that people suffer and die. Everything made by God was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Death was introduced by Adam’s disobedience (Romans 5:12). We are given a hope of resurrection of the dead to everlasting life John 5:28, 29). There will come a time when pain and death will be no more (Revelation 21:4). I hope that these Bible promises give you some comfort at this time (John 17:3).
