Eva Buechler Gaub, age 86, of Terry passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Eva was born on April 30, 1918, on a farm near Marsh, Montana. Her parents were Fred J. and Mathilda (Hoffman)Buechler. She attended country schools near Mildred. Following her schooling, she worked for different families. She also worked for the Terry Hospital and Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. Eva married Carl Gaub on May 30, 1937, at the Congregational Church at Cabin Creek. They resided in Lodi, California for a short time and then purchased a farm near Terry. They moved into Terry in 1950. Eva painted for families for three years before going to work as a custodian at the Bolin School. After twenty-five years, she retired and helped Carl with his furniture refinishing. Eva enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing and visiting with people.

Eva is survived by two children:Evalena Monaghan and her husband Charles of Terry, MT; and Tennus Gaub and his wife Debby of Minatare, NE; five grandchildren: Merrick Monaghan (Jamie), Darcy Afrank (Chad), Carla Miller (James), BrendaGaub, and Trent Gaub; ten great grandchildren: Caitlin, Kirsten, Austin, Eric, Alex, Lauren, Taylor Ann, Brittany, Dillon, and Logan, three step great grandchildren: Levi, Leslie, and Laura, and a step great great grandchild,Ciera Himes; two sisters: Ruth Slater of Miles City, MT; and Jean Byrd of Seattle, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl in 1990, two sisters, NaomiBrost and Lindy Werle, and four brothers; Bert, Otto, Reuben and Raymond Buechler.

Visitation will be held Sunday at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. A Prayer service will follow on Sunday, December 26, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Terry. Interment will follow in the Prairie County Cemetery in Terry.
